This guide will compare two blockchain platforms-Bitgert vs Solana. Bitgert is comparatively newer as compared to Solana. We will try and answer the questions like “Which one is a better investment opportunity in 2022?”, “Which one will sustain in the future?”, “Which one will be the favorite blockchain platform for developers for Dapp creation?”.

Over the past few months, a new token BRISE which is the native token of the Bitgert blockchain platform, has been a topic of discussion in the cryptocurrency space. It is touted that it might be a “Solana Killer”.

It is claimed that, Bitgert is one of the fastest blockchain platforms till now with a speed of up to 100,000 transactions per second with a near zero Gas Fee for transactions. This means developers and users of the Bitgert Chain, can get their transactions processed really fast (even faster than that of VISA) besides paying negligible Gas Fee to run these transactions.

But will BRISE or the Bitgert blockchain be able to challenge Solana’s kingdom? This guide will focus on Bitgert vs Solana-highlighting their features, reach, market capitalization, ecosystem and their penetration in the NFT and Metaverse spaces.

A warm welcome to you, to my website where I write about blockchain concepts and try to make them simpler to understand. I am a Computer Engineer and an Ex-KPMG. I have been studying blockchain since 2018 and have a firm belief and understanding that blockchain is going to disrupt most of the industries (in fact, it already has disrupted most of them) be it finance, healthcare, government, real estate, music, art, and more.

Great.

Let us now get straight to analyzing “Bitgert vs Solana”.

Bitgert vs Solana

Scalability and Fee

The Bitgert blockchain is faster as compared to Solana. It is in fact the fastest blockchain only next to TechPay Chain.

Furthermore, the Bitgert blockchain charges near zero Gas Fee for any transactions on its platform. This makes the Bitgert blockchain a platform of choice for Smart Contract and Dapps’ developers. They can avoid the hefty Gas Fee which is a normal phenomenon in other blockchain platforms like Solana, Cardano, Ethereum.

A quick comparison of the speed of transactions and Gas Fee charged for transactions on some of the popular Blockchain platforms is given below.

Comparing popular Blockchain Platforms for the speed and fee charged

Hence, Bitgert blockchain is a clear winner in the “Bitgert vs Solana” fight, when it comes to scalability and transaction fees charged.

Smart Contracts and Dapps’ Ecosystem

Generally, it takes 1-2 SOL (SOL current price) to deploy your Smart Contract on Solana. Whereas the Bitgert blockchain allows you to deploy your Smart Contracts at a near zero Gas fee. Hence, it is probable that more and more Smart Contracts and Dapps will be deployed on Bitgert in the coming years.

However, at the present day, Solana has quite an extensive Dapp ecosystem compared to Bitgert. Bitgert has still a lot of catching to do to build an ecosystem which is comparable to that of Solana. A list of all the popular Solana Dapps can be found here.

Bitgert is moving at a fast pace adding potential Dapps to its ecosystem. It has developed a wallet (BRISE wallet) which supports all BRC20, ERC20 and BEP20 tokens. Brisepad is the DEX hosted on the Bitgert chain which also offers IDO.

NFTs and Metaverse

NFTs

First, let us analyze the volume of NFTs traded on the blockchain platforms. Solana here is a winner as of now, which facilitates more volume of NFTs trade as of date. However, owing to the fast speed and near zero fee of Bitgert blockchain, this tide can turn to the other side in the coming years.

There are a number of popular NFT Marketplaces hosted on the Solana blockchain like Solsea, Magic Eden, Solanart, Metaplex, etc. These marketplaces facilitate the buying, selling, trading and minting of Solana based NFTs for digital assets like digital arts, collectibles, video games, music, etc.

Whereas Bitgert, which launched only late last year, backs the NFT marketplace, namely MIIDAS. MIIDAS is the first NFT Marketplace which trades both digital and physical assets. Until now, all the NFT Marketplaces were only featuring digital assets like music, digital art, video games, GIFs, etc. MIIDAS also offers physical assets like painting, houses, fine arts, jewelry, etc.

Now let us analyze in terms of speed and fees of buying, selling and minting NFTs on these two blockchain platforms. Clearly, Bitgert is a winner. Bitgert is way faster than Solana and asks a near zero fee for trading NFTs. Due to high speed and lower fees, people might eventually shift to Bitgert based NFTs in the coming years.

Metaverse

When we talk of the Metaverse, again Solana has multiple Metaverse projects using its blockchain platform, like Star Atlas, RaceFi, Cryowar, etc. Whereas the Bitgert blockchain which is at its nascent stage is building its Metaverse footprints. The Bitgert Startup Studio program which provides funding, technical and marketing support to new and innovative crypto projects has backed Omniaverse, which is the first Multiverse.

Ease of trading

SOL (native token of Solana blockchain) can be traded at multiple Centralized and Decentralized exchanges including Binance, FTX, Coinbase, KuCoin, Kraken, Gate.io and more. There are several options for trading pair including USD, USDT, BTC, EUR, BNB, ETH and more.

BRISE token (which is the native token of the Bitgert blockchain) is also available by now on multiple exchanges including Gate.io, KuCoin, PancakeSwap, LBank, BitMart, etc. But still it is comparatively more difficult to buy BRISE tokens than it is to buy Sol tokens. This difficulty might fade off with time as more volume of BRISE tokens gets traded in the market.

Hence, in terms of the ease of trading SOL token of the Solana is much easier to buy and sell than the BRISE token at least at the time of writing this guide.

Market Capitalization

Again, Solana being the pioneer, has already gained the traction and respectable market capitalization. It is among the top 10 cryptocurrencies in the world in terms of market capitalization and the volume of trade happening per day.

At the time of writing this article, while the market capitalization of Solana is around $$30,216,168,380. The trading volume for Solana is $1,194,935,538.

Bitgert vs Solana-Conclusion

There is no doubt that the Bitgert blockchain claims powerful and distinguished features. Be it the near zero Gas fee or the high speed of processing transactions (2 seconds Block finality and 100,000 Transactions Per Second). This makes Bitgert a popular bet in the crypto community for being the next big thing in the space. It is moving ahead at a fast pace adding newer and promising projects in the Dapps, NFTs and Metaverse spaces. It already has launched its Audit Solutions with Leaderboard Support, BRISE dApp Wallet, BRISE staking, BRISE Swap, and Bitgert Bridge.

However, Solana has been a favorite among developers and users since 2020 itself. It has been touted as an “Ethereum killer”. Solana already hosts a large ecosystem of Dapps and partners. It has managed to build trust among the developers and users over this time. It is also fast and charges less gas fee.

Bitgert has still a lot of catching to do to attain adoption among developers and investors, add Dapps in its ecosystem and foray into other areas like NFTs, Metaverses. Besides it has seen quite strong skepticism among the crypto users on its genuineness. Be it the disappearance of the BRISE wallet from Google Play for a while, its self audit of its platform, dubious marketing strategies or the anonymity of the team behind the project.

Crypto is a volatile space and projects need time and participation from the users to sustain. Whether Bitgert become a Solana killer, will be answered in the coming years. We need to patiently observe the developments in both the platforms.

My answer to Bitgert vs Solana. Which one is a better investment opportunity in 2022? Which will sustain in the future?

If you ask me, both Bitgert and Solana will co-exist in the coming time. They will pose strong competition to one another. Solana might come up with updates in the coming years which might again push it to the top of the game.

There might be some skepticism around Bitgert, but I believe any such scam does not continue for this long. The team is progressing forward with a very impressive roadmap.

If you have a risk appetite, dedicating a part of your investment in BRISE can be a good option, since it still has to reach its zenith. It can reap in huge profits by investing early.

In the long term, I believe both SOL and BRISE will be good investment options.

Bitgert vs Solana-FAQs

Is Bitgert faster than Solana?

Yes. As per the Bitgert official website, Bitgert has a transaction speed of 100,000 transactions per second (block finality time of 2 seconds). Whereas, Solana has an average transaction speed of 65,000 transactions per second (block finality time of 13 seconds).

Is Bitgert the next Solana?

Going by the superior features (high speed of 100,000 TPS; near zero Gas fee; EVM compatibility;) and the roadmap envisioned by the Bitgert team, Bitgert can be a future leader in the crypto space. But it does not wither Solana’s bright future ahead. Solana already is a favorite among developers and has seen the development of a massive ecosystem of Dapps on top of it. I believe both Bitgert and Solana will be the leading blockchain platforms in the future.

Is Solana coin worth investing?

According to me yes. Solana and it native token SOL have real life use cases. Solana is a permissionless, open source and high speed blockchain platform that anyone can use to build decentralized applications on top of it. SOL is the native cryptocurrency that is used to pay any transaction fees. An average of $0.01 is charged by miners for deploying any Smart Contract.
As of date, SOL is the 9th most lucrative cryptocurrency in CoinMarketCap in terms of market capitalization and volume of the coin traded in the last 24 hours. Solana is a preferred platform for Dapp developers owing to its high speed and low gas fees.

Which crypto will be the next Solana?

Bitgert might be the next Solana. Solana is an open source, permissionless blockchain platform. Solana is favorite among Dapp developers owing to its high speed and low gas fees.
Bitgert is faster and cheaper than Solana. It is EVM compatible, that means Dapps running on the EVM can be deployed on the Bitgert chain. All these reasons allude that Bitgert might be the next Solana, by being the “platform of choice” of Dapp developers.

How fast is Solana?

Solana has an average transaction speed of 65,000 transactions per second (block finality time of 13 seconds), which is quite impressive. It somewhat solves the blockchain trilemma of scalability, security and decentralization.

How do you mine Solana coin?

Solana is a Proof of Stake (not Proof of Work) blockchain platform. Hence, SOL (native token of the Solana blockchain) cannot be mined. You can stake SOL and earn SOL as a percentage interest on top of the staked SOL. However there are platforms or mining pools like Unmineable which make it appear as if you are mining SOL. You can join these platforms with mining hardware and contribute your computing power. You actually contribute in mining of a Proof of Work coin like Bitcoin. But you exchange this with a Proof of Stake cryptocurrency like SOL, ADA, Ether. Unmineable automates this process of exchange and it appears to you that you are mining SOL.

Is Bitgert better than Solana?

At this stage it is difficult to state, whether Bitgert is a better blockchain platform than Solana. Bitgert claims that it has a processing speed of up to 100,000 transactions per second with negligible gas fees charged.
This makes Bitgert a only a bit better option than Solana which also has a recorded speed of up to 65,000 transactions per second with very less gas fees.
But the point of the matter is, Bitgert is too naïve to challenge the market prominence enjoyed by Solana. Solana has quite an extensive list of Dapps as compared to Bitgert. Bitgert is still testing the waters by launching its first Dapps. Besides there are skepticisms around the genuineness of the Bitgert blockchain.
